Field Service Technician/Engineer

We are looking for Field Service Technician/Engineer. This is a full time position, traveling customer sites to install or repair our CNC milling machines. This position should be able to assemble or disassemble major machine components, wire electrical components, troubleshoot on issues such as machine alignment, metal cutting, control and servo.

Requirements – 2 years of experience in the job offered or in machine tool assembly or servicing including strong mechanical, pneumatic testing and debugging. Special skills – experience in electrical and pneumatic controls; large complex machines including 5-Axis Gantry type CNC milling machines; and electrical wiring/testing. Frequent domestic and international travel required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Technical/vocational school certificate or associates degree or equivalent experience in mechanical/pneumatic assembly or repair.
  • Electrical and/or electronic training a plus.
  • 3-5 years machine tool assembly or servicing including strong mechanical, pneumatic testing and debugging.
  • Electrical and pneumatic controls knowledge required.
  • Must have three years proven experience with large complex machines.
  • Field Service experience required.
  • Must have basic electrical wiring/testing experience.
  • Experience with most varieties of hand and power tools.

Entry Level Service / Warehouse Associate

SNK America, a world leader in the design and development of large machine tools manufactured in Japan for Aerospace, transportation, construction, and mining opportunities is in immediate need of an entry level service / warehouse associate in our head quarter’s office in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. This person will be trained in the office by service / parts departments and grow into as a service interpreter / junior engineer capacity in the future. Customer Service Manager

We are in need of a Customer Service Manager, a full time position in our head quarter’s office in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. This position will report to our General Service Manager and support the service department to interact with our customers to provide them with information to address inquiries regarding installation and repair of our machines. This position manages daily service department duties by scheduling field service engineers and prepare quotes.

Parts Associate

Perform a variety of customer service duties related to parts sales as well as
warehousing duties for the company operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect spindle or head attachment.
  • Determine parts needed for rebuild.
  • Perform rebuild to meet factory spec.
  • Test run spindle or head attachment.
  • Create Inspection & Repair report for rebuild.
  • Prepare spindle or head attachment for shipment.
  • 5%-10% travel. Travel to customer site to install spindle or head attachment.
